This is me just before I went on air at Seahaven FM on 1 May. I was a guest on Crozier's Creatives. The show is a hour long and interweaves David Crozier in conversation with artists about their creative lives with their choice musical tracks, Desert Island Discs style.
Over the course of the interview we touched on craniosacral therapy (what's that?!), being a dancer, my passion for improvisation, what I've learned from leading laughter yoga clubs, and plenty else besides. If you're curious what lights me up as a multidisciplinary practitioner and artist, have a listen. The recording is available until the end of May.
Not all my tracks made the cut - here are a handful that didn't for copyright reasons:
Also sprach Zarathustra - Portsmouth Sinfonia - because it makes me laugh and takes me back to the beginning of performances of BLOODY NORA! with Eleanor Sikorski, choreographed by the hilarious Sussex based artist Liz Aggiss.
Simple Song 3, composed by David Lang, performed by Sumi Jo - because the choreographer Deborah Hay introduced me to it during the creation of Where Home Is, and I loved it so much I decided to play it at my wedding
Nacht und Träume - Rufus Wainwright - because it takes me to another plane, and I performed a solo to it at a dream symposium at the Royal Institution and won't forget its extraordinary acoustics, nor the surrealness of improvising there.
