Just after the summer solstice I did a Still Learning study day in the garden with Mary Bolingbroke: Womb Work.
Contrary to what one might think, womb work is relevant to everyone. We've all come from a womb, grown in a womb, been birthed from a womb. Each of us has lived experience and a (usually pre-conscious) cellular memory of what that was like.
In craniosacral therapy we take time to explore people's in utero, natal and post-natal 'imprints'. Embryological development and birth are formative but they are not the end of the story, they are just the beginning. Remarkably, these imprints are not set in stone. Using skillful, listening touch, craniosacral therapists can help bring coherence to early patterns of experience and help integrate them. How we grow is how we heal, and conversely how we heal affects how we grow.
Biodynamic craniosacral therapists have learned how to orient to every individual's original blueprint for health and growth whatever stage of life they are in. In this way we support people's bodies to tap into their own innate intelligence and capacity for healing.
